Trend analysis & variance analysis is a tool and technique used to control risk. Work performance reports would consist data around the deliverables, in other words data such as Actual Cost required, % work complete. With this tool and technique( Trend analysis & variance analysis)SV,CV, CPI & SPI would be identified. If there is a negative variance, it can lead to identification of new risks. and "Control Risk" process involves identifying new risk.
