Change by PMI in 2015 to update your pdu ( CCR update program)

Guys,

 

in the April 2015 PmNetwork magasine ( by pmi ) there is an article regarding a change to update on PDU

 

I am a new PMP holder, I was wondering if someone can explain me the  difference or the changenthey did

 

the arricle is call

CCR update will alignbproject management skills with employer Needs

 

 

 

 

... the update require certification holder to focus on their learning areas of texhnicalbproject management... bla bla

THey created a "knowledge triangle" divided up into three areas.  THey want people to develop in the three areas with minimum PDUs in each area to ensure that people aren't top loading ALL of their PDUs into one area and neglecting others.  

While I initially found the idea annoying and threw up some audible resistance (cuss words) after first reading about the changes, I came to realize that PMI is trying to ensure that we are relevant in our profession.

I will probably eat my wors for this - but I don't see much of a hassle with the new plan.
