Could you please let me know how u arrived at B.

If you see PMBOk page 72 it says success criteria as one of the contents in a project charter.

That's why Im confused!

Success criteria is different from Acceptance criteria. Acceptance criteria will be worked out later when scope is finalized and you know what to check for before accepting the project /product.

Success criteria is high level, in the sense, it only says that cost reduction of 20% to be achieved or Customer responsiveness to increase by 5% etc.
