Cleared PMP today
I just cleared my PMP. I got the following score.
Proficient - Planning,M&C,Executing
Mod. Proficient - Init and Closing.
My experience:
#1) 50 questions were easy.,100 Moderate and 50 made me think.
#2) Lot of Change management questions. Some of them were very intuitive.
#3) Only 3-5 ITTO questions.LAst 2 days , I did not study anything other than ITTO.
#4) Lot of Tuckman's Ladder question. ( real lot ).
#5) Lot of times the word "Risk" was on the question. Sometimes even for unrelated questions.
#6) Even though I prepared using HF,PMBOK and Ritas', I had to use lot of on-the-spot decisions as the questions were situational and twisted.
My preparations were as follows:
#1) HF first cover-cover.
#2) Wrote OliverLhman's 75. Took only 53%.
#3) Read PMBOK once and bought Rita's 7th edition cheap on ebay.
#4) Read Rita's cover-cover.
#5) Hit Scordo's mock test .Scored low in the begining and then Scored high in 13-18.( upper 40's). Gained some confidence. Some of the straightforward questions in PMP looked much like Scordo's. Scordo makes you go to PMBOK again and again.
#6) Took PMStudy1, Lehmans 175 ,Exam central and Edwel.Scored between 78-84%.
#7) The tough 50 on my PMP were nowhere related either of these 6-7 tests. They looked brand new to me even with many mock tests.
#8) Last 2 days - tried ITTO many times over and over. A complete waste of time .Well, it helped me in 5 questions but not more. So think about it.
#9) Y'day evening ,I completely relaxed and had dinner outside with family.
#10 ) Today morning,I had a shocker in test center as there was no parking and only parking avlbl did not take phone number app . Dropped 6 qtrs for 1.5 hrs and was prepared to pay the fine for the rest 2.5 hrs. A must lessons learned folks. If possible , visit the test center and familiarize the settings. My test was at 7.40 am and I reached there @ 7.39 am with fears that my van may be pounded or ticketed. Had this fear all through the exam.
#11) I marked few for review. But i did not review them . I was so tired at the end and I thought my decisions at the end would be worse than when I had initially marked those questions. So Clicked "End Exam" with 6 min left.
Thanks folks for all the support that you guys provided.

#1) EVM questions were
#1) EVM questions were straightforward. About 10-15 of them . Majority of them were easy and 2 moderate.
As stated in HF book, Lower=Loser. Thats a great way of putting it and you will answer 5 questions with just this knowledge.
#2) Lead and Lag questions were tough. I skipped all 3 of them as I knew I can use this time in other areas.Go for it if you are sure. I could not even understand the question.
