Hi,
I am not sure, but just would like to confirm from the PMP members do we need to update the Project Charter if a Project Manger is changed ?
My opinion is to update and need to get officially signed to make sure the 2nd Project Manger is approved to execute & continue the project which was handled by the 1st Project Manager.
Please let me know your thoughts.

Project Charter would not be
Project Charter would not be updated if the Project Manager or any of his team members change.
Sponsor execute the Project for its intended use. Project Manager merely makes the plan easily executable.
Any appointed person will have to execute the Job based on PC and updated Project Management Plan, if any, due to changes in the tenure of first Project Manager.
Hope i have explained well

Thanks Bhavesh for your reply. So we don't need to change the PC.
Here I get one more doubt, then how does the team members knows or gets awarness that old project manager is no more incharge and the new project manager has the full authority to execute the project. Also how does the Control Board / any other management knows that from this date a new project manager is involved and the old project manager is no more playing any role.
