Confused on level of preparation- need help
Submitted by deepakagrawal78 on Thu, 11/01/2012 - 16:26
Dear All,
I have read through Andy Crowe 2-3 times.
Tried the Andy crowe full test - 85% ( Andy crowe's book claims that if it 80%+ then you are ready for exam).
Tried Rita's fastrack Super PMP - 62%
Level of questions were very different in both Rita's were much more lengthy and difficult.
Which is more near to the real exam ?
I have exam date in one month from now.
Should I reschedule to a later date ?
I have last opportunity on 2nd Nov to reschedule.
Please help.
Regards,
Deepak

i suggest to re-schedule
Hi Deepak,
You have not mentioned anything about Reading PMBOK.
The Exam is purely based ON PMBOK and not Andy or Rita (these are aids to help understand the complicated language used in PMBOK). each line in PMBOK is a potential question, Have you taken PMstudy full length timed mock test yet?

one month is enough. if u r
one month is enough.
if u r using its every hour for pmp only.
take few online mock test (4-5) read pmbok 2-3 times, it seems your IQ and reading aptitude is quite good, Rita super - 62 % is your outlook.
many free but competent - pmforsure, pmstudy, pmzilla (paid) very good to gauge, your depth.
one edwelprogram free 200 is also good
best of luck

PMBoK + exams + Rita
Thanks, started reading PMBoK.
will go through Rita after this.
Meanwhile took
1) PMZilla tough 30 and got 20 out of 30. -- some questions were really confusing but again pointing to PMBoK
2) Scordo PMP lite test 1 from PMI site and scored 45 out of 50 -- this was looking too easy
