Didn't Pass the test today
Submitted by masterjedi1 on Mon, 03/11/2013 - 21:42
I have to say I study a lot, but made one mistake. Was taking to long to answer the questions and was not able to finish the test on time. I believe you need to answer the questions at least at 40 seconds per question. I had a lot of critical path problems and formulas to resolve. Need to study more Planning, Executing and Monitor and Control. Will give it a try in 3 weeks again. It was tuff.

I have been a PM for 4 years now. I am just starting to watch videos from CBT Nuggets. Does anyone have any helpful advise?

You will definitely clear this time
Dear Friend,
Dont give up. You shall definitely clear your exam this attempt. Just refer to PMBOK and Rajesh Nairs notes and glossary from PMBOK.Try to cover gaps in weak areas. Good Luck.

i strongly recommend that
i strongly recommend that you study the PMBoK as many times as you can. and then consildate your knowledge with practice. don't forget to take notes while you're studying and save them so you can refer to them. notes about gaps in the knowledge, not entirely understand a subject/point and then reserach it further till you get the right answer or more details.
it'll take you about a week to ten days to recover from not passing and then be more persistent to pass the exam.
good luck

Thanks everyone for the tips
I am taking a couple days of break since, I am still in shock from Monday. I beleive I am going to pick up the book again tomorrow and start with the PMbok. I am going to ask my money back from Transcender testing simulation. I really don't see any good feedback for them anyway in this forum. It seems the way to go is the PMP Study site. I really appriciate all the tips and support out there.
Thanks,
God Bless

bro, to practice you can do
bro,
to practice you can do the following:
1- buy rita's fastrack as it lasts you for a year. it's a bit pricy though $299
2- read the PMBoK at least twice and then start practicing.
3- practice using the reliable sources : such as pmstudy and the pmzilla. these are reliable sources and i'm sure there are plenty of low quality p.m. websites and i don't know the website you're talking about which is transcender. so no one can take this against me.
4- when you practice it's very important that you write down the wrong answers and the justification behind it so you can identify your knowledge gap and focus on it.
take care,

Hi,I would suggest you to
Hi,
I would suggest you to take a few mock tests before giving the exam. Plenty of mock tests are available on the internet. However I would suggest you take the mock test of a reputed PMP training provider such as PMstudy or Simplilearn or Global Knowledge, as the mock tests provided by them is very close to the PMP exam and will really help you a great deal in time management as well.
