Difference b/w Decomposition and WBS

HI PMP's
I need to know Difference b/w WBS and Decomposition ?
Kindly proper answer... getting confused....
Acc to me... Decomposition is brking down and the method of doing this is called is WBS
Am I right ?

WBS is about what
WBS is about what deliverables to be created and about achieving the project objectives
Decomposition is about how these deliverables are created and managed.
Else, you can read the definitions and understand and have more clarity.

WBS is Output (End Product)
Decomposition is Tool (To get the output)
It's like Pile of Woods(Output) of using Axe (Tool) on a big Stump o Tree Trunk (Input )

Decomposition is the process
Decomposition is the process of subdividing, used as a TOOL for creation of WBS.
this tool is used in two process to create WBS and to create Activity list.
