On Exam, Does Float = TF or FF

I'm not clear on this and I want to be.

Am I correct in assuming that if a question asks for "the float of activity F" after presenting a network diagram that PMI is interested in the Total Float for the activity and not the Free Float?  I am assuming that the interest is in Total Float, since Total Float is looking at how float affects the project end.

TOTAL FLOAT also termed as FLOAT

FREE FLOAT  is always termed as FREE FLOAT

RITA uses a term PROJECT FLOAT, as per PMBOK and other standard terminology, there is no term called as PROJECT FLOAT.

Though PMBOK uses PROJECT BUFFER in CRITICAL CHAIN METHOD.

So never mesh CPM terms with CCM terms.

Thanks for confirming, I just wanted to make sure I didnt pull a bonehead error because I used the wrong term.  I have the Rita book but haven't got that far in that book.  Is Rita using Project Float to refer to Total Float?

I'll need to review CCM again, but I will make sure I keep terms seperate, thanks for the advice.
