Hidtorical data in: OPA or EEF

Please read the 2 below parts from pmbok. I am totally confused about historical data. Is it in Opa as we all know or in project management information system which is part of EEF !?!?!?

1. Pmbok Page 58: Archive all relevant project documents in the project management information system (PMIS) to be used as historical data,

2. Pmbok page 409: OPA includes:

2.a Project records. Project records include correspondence, memos, meeting minutes, and other documents describing the project.

2.b Lessons learned documentation. Documentation includes the root cause analysis of issues faced, reasoning behind the corrective action chosen, and other types of lessons learned about stakeholder management. Lessons learned are documented and distributed, and become part of the historical database for both the project and the performing organization.

@Sam

Historical is a very generic word. With respect to PMP, the PMIS belongs to EEF and Other Organization procedures, templates, guidelines, lesson learned docs belong to OPA (Which are also called as historical).

Dear gomsy,

you rewirte what i exactly said, but I ma referring to 2 pages in PMP, in the first one they are saying that historical data is stored in EEF and in the other page it says historical data stored in OPA,

That is the question,

OPA is not part of EEF. You can search on PMZilla for similar questions and explainations.

When you finish the project you upload templates, documents to OPA, this becomes repository for future projects

Political scenario in which project is executed is an example of EEF

Dear Admin,

I never said that OPA os part of EEF,

But I am referring to 2 pages in PMP, in the first one they said that historical data is stored in EEF and in the other page said historical data stored in OPA,

That is the question,

EEF and OPA both can have historical data right ?.  ONce you undestand what EEF and OPA means and what information is stored, you will appreciate that historical information will be stored.

Ok, That make sense now, you mean EEF & OPA have its own type of historial information.
