How to test PMP exam readiness

Hello Friends,

I have joined this forum recently. I am a PMP aspirant & planning to write PMP exam. I have studied PMBOK Guide and Rita Mulcahy couple of times. I have also referred Andy Crowe. Then I went online and googled a few PMP MOCK tests and wrote a few small MOCK questions here and there.

Further I took the PMP Mock Tests in Christopher Scordo and I got 85% + in most of the MOCK tests in PMP Exam Prep Book by Scordo.

I also took the questions at the end of each chapter in Rita Mulcahy.

Then I took a few tests from PMP Exam Practice Test and Study Guide by J LeRoy Ward and Ginger Levin. The questions from this book were very tough and I am not sure if the actual questions in PMP exam are like this book or more like the questions in Scordo which were not this tough.

Someone told me to take questions from PMP Exam Practice Questions by Sean Whitaker which I havn't purchased yet.

I am kind of confused since I haven't seen the actual PMP questions anywhere (other than those 4-5 questions on PMI website) so I dont know if I am prepared or not.

Can someone tell me which questions resemble the actual questions we get in PMP.

If I see the questions in PMP Exam Practice Test and Study Guide by J LeRoy Ward and Ginger Levin, I may not be prepared if I see PMP Mock Tests in Christopher Scordo & Rita Mulcahy end of chapter questions , I may be prepared. How do I check if I am ready. Confused.

Thanks in advance for the guidance !

You seem to have done adequate preparation. The Ward / levin book is quite expensive and not a must have.

All vendors who provide PMP questions will claim that their questions are close to real exam. The real exam database is huge so what one person gets is different from another person and one may recommend one question bank over other.

I would say take few more free mock tests. PMZilla 200 questions are very good buy and will really build the muscle required for real exam. You can check the reviews.

Thanks.I wrote the Skillsoft 200Q test yesterday and I got only 69% !!... I knew many questions but sittings 4 hrs in a go, I started getting lazy by the end and the last questions i just chose the answers without real understanding. I have seen this before as well. When I attempt 200Q test for 4 hrs. the initial 100 questions i will score 85% +. The next 100 questions I start getting tired , lazy and questions start going wrong. Infact I start getting bored after 100-125 questions, any suggsetions plz.

PMP Exam Cram : Project Management Professional , 5/e PMP Practice Exam - 72.5%

I also saw the Questions in Q & A's for PMBOK Guide 5th Edition - Frank T Anbari. The book is not worth PMP. Questions are very direct and simple.

Hi Yogesh,

You can check your rediness by taking mock tests, which are very close to the real PMP exam. All the best for your PMP.
