The making of "Sricharan Narayanam,PMP"

So, here goes the storyline of my journey of attaining the "PMP"

Well it started way back an year ago when i attended the basic 35hour training course of PMP. After a long haitus, i booked my PMP exam date in the month of Feb.  Honestly,  i felt the application procedure of filling up the experience form etc was more difficult than prepeairng for the PMP exam ...though many wont believe it... actually i love this field of Project management, so love to gain more knowledge...

Exam Prep:

Anywayz, i started off to read the Rita, someone some of friends told that they could get pass the PMP exam even without reading the PMBOK. But thats a big risk!!!

After reading Rita twice, i had only 2 more weeks to go for the exam. Had taken leave from office for 2 weeks & studied day & night.... 14 days before the exam date, i scored 57% in the mocks,  increased to 65% till 8 days before the exam & in my final mock i scored around 77%.

As i hardly stuided PMBOK, during my last few days i bought   http://www.pm-exam-simulator.com/        which had questions mostly based on PMBOK...felt this was very very useful...Apart from 9 mock test, they also have knowledge area wise questions which i felt was very useful...

My Best recommendations:

Blogs-Deepfriedbrainpmp,PMZilla & brainBOK.com -All free resoruces.

Books: Rita, PMBOK & Headfirst( Nice book to go through, you wont get bored reading this)

Finally, got certified as an PMP on 29th April!

Exam results- Proficient in 2 areas, Moderately proficient in 4 areas.

All the best.

Regard,

Sricharan Narayanam,PMP
