MY PMI Membership Quarries ....

I had applied to PMI in last July'11 & they accepted my application.... but later on I didn't pay member fees till today....! PMI email me they will extend another 3 months if i pay by 30th june....!
considering above, if i pay now.... what will be my membership duration
1. only next 3 months
OR
2. 1 year after payment date.
Please clarify...! im waiting for your input sothat i can minimize my risk ...

Your question is very unclear.
You have to log in on pmi.org and pay the charge and become a PMI member. I do not know if any application is required.
I feel you are talking about PMI application to take the test. Well, giving the test is the criteria, then you get an extension for 3 more months from the day your eligibility ends to take the test.

His case
This gentleman's case is little different SS.
I say so because PMI would never tell you for extension in case your membership is ending. They will only offer in case of taking the test.
I say so SS because a friend also received the same notification. He accepted and passed. In other words, he gave hie examination in the 14.5 months instead of the usual 1.
That is why I was asking if it is about his memebership on PMI.org or taking the final PMP test.

I do not see him member of PMI at all. Membership needs fee, it’s not free. If I understand correctly, he has not paid the membership fee at all i.e. the date PMI has given is for his accepted application validity i.e. 30-June.
The only loss that would happen if he does not pay membership by/before 30-June is that, he will have to submit the application again for its approval. That’s all.

What I understand, IF I pay today, membership will be 1 yr but I hv to sit for exam within 3months...
Correct me if im wrong.....
So what's ur suggestion? Should I go for 3months option or better I applied again and take longer period of chances :)

Yes, for any average person 3 months of preparations is sufficient assuming you can dedicate 3 hours daily. I guess, you have been preparing for PMP since long time, so 3 months is more and enough.
Treat PMP exam as Exam, if its your day you will pass or else you will fail. You are not going to get/loose anything else from exam outcome.
What if you Pass? Dance and change the job to get more salary.
What if you Fail? Don’t tell anyone that you failed and try again after 30-45 days.
Treat PMP exam as Exam….and nothing else.
