please assist. When should I add the project manager and when not?

 

In some exams it adds +1 for the project manager. In the PMP exam, what is the right method to follow?

 according to me the question clearly tells the count and I had questions on this topic and it was clear...so i think no worries but in general rule PM is also a stakeholder and a communication channel

I would agree with the above comments as well.

Since the formula is straightforward, i would first read the question and if it does not explicitly mention or ask what is the communication channel including PM, i would calculate without first and look at the answer options.

Either way, the question would mention what it's looking for. Hope this helps!
