Hi,
a specilaized programmer leaves your project team due to a promotion.
Why would the prmotion be a risk trigger instead of a risk event?
thanks

I think:
Promotion is the Risk trigger,
because this trigger results in
programmer leaving the project team (which is the Risk event itself)
Does this sound okay?

risk trigger is a warning sign telling you "you have to do something because something will happend (risk event) if you don't do anything about..."
If the question says "Programmer leaves because of a promotion and that was the reason he couldn't completed his work" that would be risk event.
