Passed PMP with 3P and 2 MP
Hi, I passed PMP yesterday with 3P and 2 MP. Here are few my personal comments for those who are confused judging if they are ready.
I could not remember ITTO and was sure it will make me suffer during exam but beleive me its not complete true.
But you should be able to pick the correct ITTO item out of 3 other incorrect options.
The exam day morning I was doing last revision of ITTOs but beleive me if turned over page I could not remember the IITO I read in last page :) but since last couple of days I did revission ITTOs several times.
I bought 3 ITEMs -
1. Pmzilla 200 tough questions -- ok to get some idea but not similar of real exam
2. Test Eagle - Math is quite similar of real exam, but I had no time to solve all questions but solved few and it was good similar.
3. BainBok - Maths are very good.
At the end - I had a myth real PMP questions will be too lenghthy and it will be tough to manage time but again all questions are not lengthy few are straight and you can pick the correct option easily to save your time for lengthy questions.
I finished my exam in 3Hrs , don;t go by my score :) I know it's not that good but whatever I attempted I could not make it better even if I was given 6 Hrs instead 4 Hrs :) as during exam you can not increase your knowledge but have to go what you know.
Few areas I got most questions -
1. HR - Conflict , Team building ( 5 stages)
2. RISK Response
3. Use of project charter and scope baseline under different scenarios - with a given scenario they will ask you which document you would need and beleive me except the correct options others will be most illlogical , you no need to remember ITTO for that ( my weak point).
4. Simple Maths - all data will be given you just need to check the wording to pick the EV, PV and AC value and then just calculate CPI and SPI
5. Stakeholder Analysis and use of SH Register - under different scenarios ( simple)
6. Change Management - almost 7-8 questions , be careful the sequences . I got 2 repetaed questions with same scenarios but one was before impact analyzed and for another it's a;ready analyzed impact - asked the next step.
7. Reseve Analysis - had good amount of questions like who should approved , whom to communicate,
Be careful on wording what already done and if you know sequesces of all tasks - you will be able to pick the correct answer easily.
Will post if can remeber more, hope this post will help you to get little real exam picture and if you are confused like I was :) .
All the best , I am sure you can make it if you understand sequences , not to memorize but understand the concept.
Thanks
Rajesh
