Pareto/ishikawa diagram?
I thought the correct answer for this question is A. Pareto chart based on various factors (technical..) but the correct answer is D. Ishikawa diagram. Can somebody explain why?
you are PM of a project. in which you need to install sensitive machine. For some reason, this machine is not working properly and your senior technician believe that there may be various factor (technical, environmental, construction -related) involved in recurring breakdown. For your status report, you would like to graphically display these various and possibly unrelated factors. what type of diagram illustrate this best?
A. Pareto chart
B. Control chart
C. Influence diagram
D. Ishikawa diagram

You want to know the factors
You want to know the factors which are influencing the machine not working , its more of a root cause analysis , the PM does not have any numbers on the which of the factors is cause of the problem.
Pareto would be used when there are multiple instances of failure and you know the cause for each instance and then you try to get 80-20 ratio

The only purpose of these
The only purpose of these questions is cheating.
I have one stupid guess. There is no one word about probabilities. So you won't be able to do Pareto.
