just passed 06 Jan 11

Just cleared the exam yesterday (06 Jan 11).

Books I read,
   1) start with Joseph Phillips' PMP Project Management Professional Study Guide, Third Edition
easy start but not complete, I read thoroughly

   2) move to PMBOK.
I got it from the exam prep class, spent couple of days to read it thoroughly

   3) then selectly read Dr.Kerzner's Project Management: A Systems Approach to Planning, Scheduling, and Controlling, Tenth Edition
Kerzner's is very advanced but surely not to hard. I refer to this book during the time I prepare my only note and doing exam sim. I read only some  chapters and subchapters.

After finished with those book, I moved onto test myself with the exam simulation, both in 4-hour-200-Qs and selected-knowledge-areas modes.

Before the exam,  Self-test I got
  •    89% with PMIQ (175 Qs), and
  •    86% with Crosswind Exam simulation (200 Qs).

The real exam questions are different than those in the simulation but not too difficult. However the simulation is very useful for me. It helped me to:
  •   identified where I was weak at - not only in terms of knowledge area but down to specific process and tools/techniques.
  •   be confident in the real exam.
