Passed PMP 0n 8/18
I cleared my PMP yesterday (08/18) with 4 areas as proficient and 2 areas as moderatly proficient.
My preparation has been different compared to other PM Zilla members. I started studying for PMP since 4 weeks spending 2 hours on a daily basis.
I studied Rita's book once. Once I read it I started taking mock tests and below are the ones I took.
1) Oliver Lehmann 175 questions
2) Head first questions
3) PM perfect
4) PM Zilla tough questions
While taking tests I read Rajesh Nair notes ( Thanks Rajesh !!, your material is most awesome and quite helpful).
During the last 5 days before my exam I started reading PMBOK for the first time. Now, as I was reading PMBOK all of the puzzle pieces fell in place and it no longer was a sleeping pill. Parallely I read Rita exam prep for the second time.
Once I was done with preparation, I was pretty confident I should get thorugh. Took the last PM perfect test the night before my test for a confidence boost which it surely did. The day on my exam I reviwed all the 42 ITTO. I did not try to memorize them as I thought it was too tough to do it. Instead I tried to understand the concepts that drives these ITTO's. However, some of them are worth remembering like Organization theory, networking etc.
Before the actual test I did not do a brain dump as I had none -). For people like me who did not use the right software for sample tests, the training on the exam tool was very useful. The PMP test in itself, I felt, was easy compared to some of the practice tests I took. Two or three questions were ambigious which took me by surprise. I finished my test in 3 hrs (with 2 spaced breaks) and spent another 30 mins to review my marked questions.
Thanks,
Uday

I thought PM perfect
I thought PM perfect questions come very close to the actual exam questions. I finished 15 of them. Once you cross the 10th or 11th exam the questions become very tough and requires a careful eye to detail. But I would definitely suggest it.
