question on stakeholder analysis

On a stakeholder analysis grid of Influence and impact, the scale is one to five with five being the highest on each coordinate. The project sponsor would have what rating on the grid?

A. Infl = 2.1 and Imp = 4.8
B. Infl = 5 and Imp = 1
C. Infl = 4.7 and Imp = 6.3
D. Infl = 4.6 and Imp = 4.3

Correct answer is D, can anyone tell me how it has been calculated.

The project sponsor is a stakeholder that would have high ratings on both axes of an Influence-Impact grid. 'A' and 'B' do not fit this criteria and 'C' is off-scale.

Sponsor have high influence and high impact in any project

first of all are you agree this point or not tell me?

if yes

then very easy to explain

I    M    P   A    C     T 5
    high impact but A(2.1,4.8)   D(4.6,4.3)   C(4.7,6.3)
lesser Influence   High impact High Influence   It is out of using scale
4       Covering maximum area   hence cant be viable

3

2

1         Higher influence
          but lesser Impact B(5,1)

      1 2 3 4 5
    I     N   F    L    U   E     N   C   E

My piece of analysis is:

The scale is 1 to 5, so option "C"  is not the correct answer as it has Impact 6.3

A & B are not correct as it has influence of 2.1 and impact rating of 1, which is low when compared to opetion "D".  In reality sponsor has high impact and influence on the project.

So, the quick answer is "D".
