D&M Project execution resulted in PM Plan Updates

While reading PMBOK Integration Management, I critically looked at this Output and still cannot explain to myself how PMI came up with it.

How come DMPE result in PM Plan updates? I think that first any need for change should come from M&C PW and then if CR is approved then PM Plan can be updated

Maybe some of be changes are not so significant that integrated change control can be circumvented?

Any change which impacts project's triple contraint will have to go through the ICC process.


If its not impacting project's triple constraint, then it may not really be a "change"

 So I believe if we update the PM Plan it means that we are making some change.

It has to go through Integrated Change Control.

So PM Plan update cannot be an Output of Direct and Manage Project Execution, but it is listed in the PMBOK

Can you advise why?
