     I am an average student and hate mug up. Novemember I registered for my examination and started going thru Rita first time. Intially I am going around 10 pages per day and try to understand the concept rather than mugup. Esspecially spent time in time management and cost management. Once I had good grip went thru PMBOK and I was able read faster. But the information in PMBOK is limited, so you may need supporting books to understand more. 

   Then I started giving Scorodo test. That time I understood that I am lagging in Human management ,Quality, communication. Again I went thru Rita and this time paid attention on my weaker chapter. It helped me a lot. As advised I tried to take lot of test to get used to 4 hrs sitting in 1 place :-). I don't bother about score but will go thru each question and explanations for answer.

      Total I read 2 times Rita and PMBok. Infact 2 time it was almost glance of PMBOK. When I went for eamination I was bit tensed and started writing the formulas. To me the most of the calculations based on Earned Value. Ofcourse I spent most of the time solving EV and critical path analysis (CP). 

    The one suggestion is to skip calculation (mark it for review) and come back later. That way easily you can complete all other questions within 3 hrs. Intially I wasted more time then I got most of non calculations so it went thru fine again in last 50 got struct with EV and CP analysis  then noticed till 40 questions left and time was about 45 mins. So decided to skip the CP and go thru all questions and I could finish in next 15 mins

    So I had good amount of time to review and finish the CP. 10 Minutes before decided to submit and keeping my finger crossed. Then got the survey about the test center which added more tense. Finally it appeared as passed. 

  So don't worry about what other says. Judge yourself and try to think you were in that situvation and answer the questions. This helps you a lot.

Then PMP is not very difficult.
