Passed PMP today - 04 Dec 2012

Hi Friends,


I passed my PMP today with 3 P' and 2 MP'


My LL' as below.


1. Continuity is very important while studying PMBOK. i was facing challenges with continuity in my pmbok study. so in october finally decided to complete one round of pmbok without break.


2. after this joined pmstudy course on nov 17 at bangalore for a refresh course.


3. after this started doing mock tests: pmstudy 1,2,3 and 4, did most of the chapter tests at pmstudy and examcentral.net, details of my mock tests given in one of my earlier post.


4. reviewed where i was going wrong and revised those sections.


5. every day gave 1 mock test and revised pmbok and looked at rita only for those topics which were not explained properly in pmbok or were not part of pmbok.


6. 2 days before exam i looked at my notes which i prepared. if anybody needs it pls let me know.


6. every day practiced by writing down 42 processes and formulas on 2 pages.


7. i had a second slot so reached exam center by 12:00


8. put 42 processes and formulas on scrap paper.


9. took three breaks.


10. took first break after completing 100 questions, second break after completing 200 questions, marked those questions which i was not clear or too big to read. then took third break, then came back and reviewed till 170 questions.


then came message "you ran out of time"


gave the survey and then saw the congrats page.


now i am going to enjoy.

First and foremost congratulations!!!


Second how were you able to write all 42 processes and over 20 formulas in only 15 minutes and listen to the tutorial on how to use the software.  I ask becuase I am practicing to do this and 15 minutes is not enough, let alon listen to the tutorial I i would imagine.

Congrats....

Please clear my doubt about PMP..As you have already certifed..I have around 3.6 Year of IT experience..Crrently helding the role of SAP Consultant and mainly on the SAP ERP implementation side..

Will it be beneficial for me in career prospect..As I am giving it so early in Feb 2013(Target)..

Whether I am right candidate for giving this exam..

I am involved in project's of SAP but not any project management experience but played key role in implementation..

Please guide me and share your study material..Thanks alot..
