Passed PMP (Today April 20) - 3 MPs, 2 Ps

I am so excited to type this... I just passed the PMP exam !!. I truly think this forum is the main reason because as some of you know... I actually did a bootcamp and I honestly think you need a good amount of pre-study to successful pass the exam. Yes, it's as challenging as you hear. It should not be underestimated by any means.

My score this time was

Initiating - MP

Planning - P

Executing - P

Monitoring & Controlling - MP

Closing - MP

Since I don't want to be redundant and post what others have said.. I'll try to keep this brief, yet helpful.

It was Sarah who posted last night about passing with 5 MPs and recommended this link. This will help you tremendously.. Up until this morning at 2 am, I was going through the questions. It's very similar to the exam.. Even more similar than PMStudy exams..

Since I did the PMStudy bootcamp, I did all the stimulated exams.. I think in addition, you have to read Rita's book and do her questions. If you use both methods... You'll be fine. I also used Rajesh Nair and Choudary's notes posted here. It was very useful for this last week when I just needed a refresher.

My exam had a lot of questions on Quality, Risk, Comm and the EVM calculations. Practice Practice & practice as much as you can. Good luck!

 Congratulations on your PMP.

Regards

Brown,

Congratulations to you Kudos.

Pls.share after how many days you appeared 2nd exam from the 1st exam.

What was the difference you focussed on 2nd attempt than 1st attempt.

I am planning to appear in June but I am bit hesitant so your lessons learnt would be a booster,

I have also done PMSTUDY classroom but what links or sites would you advise for Practice practice questions.

Cheers,

Kunal.

Thank you sir. I think practicing with Rita's Chapter End questions is a start... Also consider Oliver Lehman's free exam in the exam links section of this site. I didn't retake any PM Study exams.. Instead I focused on Rita's book and read the PMBOK text for my problem areas (Risk, Quality). However, I did review some chapter questions on the PMStudy site since I had access..

I also recommend looking at the Question Bank section of this site too.

I studied for 3 weeks total between the 1st and 2nd exam. It is recommended not to wait more than 1 month after the bootcamp.... or you forget the material

Good Luck!

 Congrats Brown!!!!

THANK YOU ALL !! :)

Congratulations on getting PMP certified.
