Passed PMP Today - First Time LL
Use Crowe's book. There is nothing else out there like it. I tried Rita's and I have to say its a bit overkill for the exam, plus it didn't match my learning style. I don't need to play games to learn concepts and memorize processes.
Don't waste your time memorizing the ITTOs, the exam is situational!!!! Know and understand what is a process, what is not a process, and key tools and techniques, inputs and outputs. If you know why a technique is used, if you encouter a question about it you'll know how to apply it.
Practice exams -
Crowe end book exam
PM study Free exam
Practice questions in the free 1 week trial to Crowe's website (there are aleast 500 questions)
Oliver Lehmans free 75 and 175
I haven't found much free material out there worthwhile honestly. Some have old question banks or are just so poorly written you shouldn't waste your time.
Use the online free copy of the PMBOK from PMI once you sign up to to glance over to fill the gaps after taking practice exams. If you can stay awake and read this book great for you, otherwise bring a pillow to your study session.
I scored moderately proficient in all but Professional Responsibility which was proficient. I wasn't going for 100% and this test is pass or fail. I've been studying since mid-October and I took 2-3 week break plus I was audited.
I had some odd questions like inputs to feasibility study, and a question on the different types of EAC which Crowe didn't cover very well.
Good luck everybody!! Don't stress or kill yourself. I finished the exam a hour and half early without one break.
