Procurement Audit

 Hi,

i see that the procurement audit is described only in the close procurements process.

Does that mean that it cannot be used during the Monitoring and controlling process group.

Please elaborate as i see no issues with a buyer requesting a procurement audit.

Thanks

 Dear Friend,

Please refer to Rita Pg-507 from Rita 8th version its clearly explained.

Procurement Audits are only used for Close Procurement Process.

Procurement Audit is nothing but a systematic or structed review of the process from plannning to controlling of Procurement. Its basic purpose is to check for the meeting of success criteria set for the Procurement.

I hope you got a clear idea.

Regards,

Vishwanath

Quality audits can be performed in control procurements which is part of Performance reviews..So dont get confused between the two..Procurement audits are done during close procurements
