Procurement documents..

Hi All,

I was going through procurement management. After completing it, I just want to clarify the following and plz correct me if I'm wrong:

Procurement SOW, Procurement Management Plan and RFP, RFQ are created by Project Manager and then updated/edited by Procurement manager.

Legal team creates the procument documents and procurement manager send it to qualified sellers before bidder conf. Once seller is selected legal team creates a new contract/offer and again procurement manager hand it over to seller along with other docs.(procurement SOW, procurement document, terms & conditions etc..

 it seems ok except , procurement manager, is not a pmbok term and almost irrelevant after PM.

In one of  the questions they were talking about Procument Adminstrator? Is there someone like that in the PMBoK?

 In some organization, contract (procurement ) administration is kept seperate from project organization, partly or full.

But in this case

PM and PM team of project organization, will not assist him (procurement administrator). 

Project organization will get authorization for later part of work (or contract).

All procurement related processes only be performed by seperate contract administrator, who will be responsible for program manager or PMO of organization, as well as for Project manager of respective projects of that organization.

Apart from above , in other cases, PM will head the  contract (procurement ) administration, internally.

Hope it is clear and correct.
