 I am not doing too well in this area.

Need help,

I thought gifts are not okay to accept but one of the mock tests has the following. How do i differentiate from right or wrong.

 

You recently went on an official trip to another country to discuss a business proposition with a potential vendor. The vendor took you out for lunch and offered you gifts, as it is customary in that country. You must:
 
 
  Choice 1 Tell the vendor that you cannot accept the gifts as per company policy
 
  Choice 2 Accept the gifts as it is a local custom and promptly inform your manager
 
  Choice 3 Return the gifts, because accepting them could be interpreted as a personal gain
 
  Choice 4 Accept the gifts, as they are not very expensive
 
 
  Correct Choice : 2
 
  Justification : 
 
  A project manager has the responsibility to refrain from offering or accepting inappropriate payments, gifts, or other forms of compensation for personal gain, unless it is in agreement with applicable laws or customs of the country where the project management services are being provided.

Yes, these questions are very unnerving. Confusing as well.


 


Refer to site/link which Respected Pawarji Sir has sent. I have not seen it but since it comes from the legend, so am sure it must be too good.
