A question from Ucertify...

Q: You are the project manager for your organization and are working with the project stakeholders and the business analyst to define all of the deliverables the project is to create. The stakeholders would like the option of adding more deliverables later in the project and keeping the requirements somewhat open for changes. You explain to the business analyst that you need a set of requirements that define exactly what needs to be delivered for the project. What document are you trying to create in this early stage of the project?

A:  Project scope statement

A is the answer. Seems straight forward to me. The project has started so charter is prepared. C and D are about details and technical aspects which are not referenced in the question/

You got it Sir!

I would opt for 'C'.

The project charter has obviously been created so no option there. The question implicitly states that they are trying to define project scope and a request was made by the stakeholders to cater for additional scope, later on in the project. The PM then states that he needs a complete set of requirements/deliverbles - this is also a characteristic of PMI's way of defining scope, i.e. complete and concise as possible. Also note that a Project Scope Statement is an output of the Define Scope process.
