Question - When customer ask DDC after a deliverable is done

32. You have made the final delivery of your software.

Before making the release, you ensured that thorough testing was done and project scope was verified.

After a week of taking delivery, the customer shows his dissatisfaction with the release and says the product doesnt support a critical functionality. he asks you to add this feature. What should you do

a, understand the customer requirement and estimate the additional time and resources required to complete it, communicate the same to the customer

b, duscuss the customer feedback with the senior management and seek their advice on the matter

c, analyse the inhouse process of testing and cope verification to determine the root cause of the problem

d, ignore the customer and proceed with project closure

what do you think it is and why

b, duscuss the customer feedback with the senior management and seek their advice on the matter

this is what I tought also,  Simplilearn says it's ignore him D

hehe

I think this is wrong

I would go with option D as the question states testing and scope verification was done. It means validate scope process was completed & customer had accepted your product.

By plainly ignoring the request of your customer, you only assuring that you will never get any business from him in the future. :)

ignoring is not ethical..you cant ignore you must seek advice from higher management and advice...

adding the feature is in itself end up being another project!

why loose this?

Ignore is definitely wrong choice in any case. As it is never mentioned that project is closed, so if customer is not happy, you can't ignore that. So I think B is correct answer.

thanks guys

To me this is an unclear question, you can look at the question from two different angle.

Angle 1 :

The question seems to suggest that there is a problem with the quality assurance and quality control of the project since the product doesn't meet the characteristic or the feature required from the product. So the best answer is C.

Angle 2 :

The customer request a new feature that wasn't part of the approve project scope baseline. So the best answer is B.
