Question/Doubt

A project manager is completing the WBS with the project management team, but the


session is hard to manage. There are 200 people in the room representing 4 different


departments. Some of the people who will be working on the project later are talking about


other things while earlier work is discussed. Which of the following BEST describes the real


problem?


a) The project sponsor should be leading this kind of meeting.


b) They are not following the project communications management plan.


c) There are too many departments involved in the project.


d) The project manager is really managing a Program.


 


The Answer according to the key is "d" but with no explanation. Can anyone help me with any explanation.

I guess it is B. But am forced to reason for D.

My common sense says that you don't do a project meeting with 200 people. The best meetings are conducted with 15 or less. The communication plan should contain who should be consulted for WBS and how  communication happen.

Program is a group of related projects and such a group is never mentioned in the question except a hint '...while earlier work ...'.

the project manager has invited people from other projects which are part of the same program in this meeting.

Project Manager manage a program. This is because this project manage in the phases. Large project divided in to phases.

"Some of the people who will be working on the project later are talking about other things while earlier work is discussed".

Some people who will be working on the project later means the will be on next phase of project.
