Saket - Need Help
Hi Saket,
I always appreciate that you are here helping the needy ones. Today I'm here to seek your advice.
As you mentioned, you advise people to read the bible (PMBOK) a few times.
Taking this advice I have read it around 3 times, however it seems like it’s not getting into my mind and I'm keep re-reading past sections of this book. I have read the Rita twice and am reading Nair's notes (which are really good and covering the material from other books as well).
I have attempted one practice test so far:
Oliver - 50Questions - Scored 70%
I'm planning to write more, however, as I mentioned earlier I feel like I keep going back to re-read previous sections of the PMBOK and keep testing myself to memorize the ITTO's.
Do you have any other suggestions on what to do, to prepare for the PMP?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello Sunny, I see you are going
Hello Sunny,
I see you are doing absolutely fine. You have read Rita twice and couple of time the PMBOK. This is absolutely a right path. Do not worry, you are not going to understand everything in the PMBOK, its language and tone is not that friendly. However, as you keep reading it, you will get PMI PMP’sm techniques.
I am sure you must have spent like 2 months in reading these. Next steps:
1. Start looking for FREE test, choose the one people have found to be good. I am sure by exploring you will be able to get around 1000-1200 questions for free.
2. Daily practice like 40-50 questions and for each wrong answer, refer the PMBOK section. This exercise will take about 25-30 days of your time assuming you can spend like 2 hours daily.
3. After step 2, you will have smile on your face and you will become comfortable with PMP type questions. As per your comfort level schedule your PMP exam and if required buy some mock test and practice them until you give the PMP exam. Buy those where you see difficulty level as high.
I have not read Nair’s notes, but as I hear from people here, its last moment revision material. I advice people NOT to use any short cut while you are preparing. I do not see any need for you going for any short cut at this point of time. You may consider revision materials around 2 weeks before your exam.
I hope this helps.
