Should I start with Head First PMP or Rita's book

Hi, I'm new to this forum and to project management. I am a member of an IT team and I want to prepare for PMP. I saw many posts on this forum some recommend starting with Head First book others just start with Rita's book. Almost all said that PMBOK is really dull and not easy to grasp. I am confused and I don't want to waste time reading and working on unnecessary material. So would you please tell me how to prepare for the PMP exam in 2 - 3 months. What study plan should I have and what mock exams should I try.
Thanks in advance,

HeadFirst PMP - any given day
Hello,
I would strongly recommend reading Head First PMP, as it's much easier and may I also suggest reading PMP Study Guide by Kim Heldman both are fantastic books to kick off your PMP prep.
