I'm new to this and just started reading up about PMP preparation. I came across some questions as I was trying to find out more on that.

I saw a number of recommended books for selfstudy under discussions. I'm thinking of going for a prep course for the required 35 pdu. Shall I start selfstudy first then go for a prep course just to fulfill the pdu or it should be the other way around?

For the required 35 pdu, instead of joining a prep class (which is obviously the costly option), is there any other way to earn that?
