What is your SCOPE - have you ever thought over?

Hi

Folks,

We much talk about scope management – what is scope – the work and only that work.

We talk about exclusions and inclusions of scope. We talk about scope descriptions. Scope changes

We talk about scope creep, scope uncontrolled changes, scope baseline etcetra-etcetra.

Have you ever think what scope of PMI PMP TEST is.

No doubt everybody is aware of it.

But many times, there is lots of and lots of questions around us, lots of doubts, lots of non-acceptance, disagreements, unanswered queries, different views follow us.

At those points we compromise with the situations and move ahead.

I want to apply a Monte Carlo analysis on those nodes.

Why can’t we fix at least little exclusion, which always makes us confused?

I have a number of exclusions (doubts or disagreements), and I am listing them here.

I want to pose a survey questionnaires- literally not polling – but to know the fact, what is correct what is not correct. Are they really exclusions or inclusions of scope of PMP exam?

This topic is very much concerned to the new attempters: when they come to write their lesson learned here, I request to them please give answer on these specific questions.

1.     Have you found any question on sequence of activities performed during project closure process?

2.     Have you found any question on types of estimates based on %age accuracy range?

3.     Have you found any question on priority sequence of conflict techniques?

4.     Have you found any question on priority sequence of conflict sources?

5.     Have you found any direct question on code of ethics and professional conduct?

6.     Have you found any maths question on NPV, IIR, ROI, B/C ratio?

7.     Have you found any question on PTA calculation?

8.     Have you found any question on calculation of standard deviation based on discrete data? Like 2, 4, 3, 3, 5, and 2 – what is SD of this data?

9.     Have you found any negative answered question? Like ‘NOT’ correct.

10.   Have you found any “except” or “least correct” notations in any question?

Above questions are of 3 categories:

  • What is true knowledge base according to PMI/PMP

  • What is exact scope criteria

  • What is exact pattern

If answered these questions, I am sure it would not be a violation of any rules or regulations of PMP Exam/PMI.

We are not rewriting any exam questions, but we are trying to clear what is exclusions or inclusions of scope of exam.

You can add from your side also.

welcome always

While your thinking is very good and can help PMP Aspirants, Giving question level details will be leaking information and is outside PMI code of conduct.  This information is best gathered individually by reading LLs and posting a separte page can even put PMZilla at risk
