Hey I just started my road to PMP and I am basically a very new beginner.  I am pretty much thinking this is not for me.  I am interested in project management but I need 2,500 hours of project management to get this certification?  I thought this certification was going to help me get to a place where I could get 2,500 hours of work in project management?

Maybe I am confused but I'm looking for something that will give me the training and certification employers want to see on a resume.  Am I in the wrong place?  Should I look into other project management products?

I just am not sure what to do after going over the requirements for the certification.  I don't want this time I spent studying to be just another book I read on the shelf of stuff I thought was cool.  I want it to work for me. 

Point me in the right direction?
