Help - Failed Test for Second Time
Submitted by LKHenry on Wed, 04/04/2012 - 14:15
Good morning All,
I need help with study suggestions in passing the PMP exam. I plan on taking the test again in 30 days.
To prep for the first 2 test, I took a class from PMStudy, plus reviewed the notes and took Chapter test and practice exams. I scored 73% on the last practice exam I took prior to taking the test.
I am looking for suggestions for additional studying so I will pass the exam on the 3rd try.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Leslie

Have you used any notes like Crowe, Rita etc or PMBOK beside PMStudy notes?

Hi
Mr Henry, I hope you are aware that anyone who flunks thrice in one year then he can not take the test for one more year from the day of his third exam. I am not being an iconoclast, however, better to be safe than to be sorry. Filling your application form fresh would cost you money though. Kindly do a lot of thinking through on this. Wish we knew how does PMI mark. Try reading a post next yours where Mr PMP has defined the way Prometric/PMI marks answers. It is a good and worthy post. Thanks, KK...

My Recommendations
Since you have failed for the 2 time, you know in reality how the real PMP questions are. It’s the 3rd time i.e. the last time you can try with your current membership. I would say have patience instead of hurrying for a month. Keep 3 months target and follow these:
Books:
Read Rita or Kim Heldman
Read PMBOK 2-3 Times
Practice Test (Paper Based):
PMZilla Tough Questions
HeadFirst
Oliver
For Online Mock Test:
Read these:

Make sure you try these (at least the Free one)
