I had failed my PMP exam yesterday..

Below is something you can take tips from my failure !!

Well I am  from Networking background dindt had much exp in PMP but wanted to get one as now a days they expect from technical people to have some mgmt skills..anyways last year I did attended 4 days course  and as usual 4 days everything was too much for people like me. And i had feelings i can prepare myself with materials etc..

September I appeard for my exam read PMBOK guide ..didnt paid much attention to input and outputs etc .. I appeared thinking that some luck will be there etc... but failed that time result came 2-3 weeks after.. So i had feelings and of confident that magic will happen but failed and i check my results it all below proficient.

Yeah I bought Pmzilla questions .. though was some helpful but questions didnt appeared in exam.

Then i had long break and January I started again for Hell journey studied PMBOK guide but something i felt missing to understand since i am from other back ground. Bought Rita.. and was quite useful on understanding concepts methodolgoies etc.. felt confident somewhat.

Febraury I started giving free online exams and everytime i felt as if something new. So i thought I must invest in some questionnaires so went for OSP international who had huge collections and was closely watching PMzilla and slowly PMP for sure started ..lots of endorsements.. Then instead of failing again thought will invest some what and then gave exams ..  March was unexpectedly went busy with work and still was giving exams and preparing heavily.

April 1st only I started relying heavily on PMP for sure.. Thats the mistake I did it. I thought atleast 50-70 questions if i get i will pass. But when i sat for my exam.. first 3 questions made me totally nervous i thought I am going to loose the exam and I tried my best to understand and knowledge answered the questions etc.

Midway in the exam  I really felt tired and irritated ... (tips take break for 5 mins if you feel like this).. still continued... 20 mins before finshed my exam. Stupid and crazy result which made me sad until now.

My results were

2 below Proficient and 3 moderately proficient.

Lessons learned : Though questionnaires helpful but still stick to money making book PMBOK guide.Know inputs and outputs and expect some charts question which asks you to figure risky projects among the above etc.

I feel if I had prepared little bit more would have passed. Anyways money gone to crocodile mouth .Dont dare to pick it up (ha ha ha)

Anyways Thanks to Pmzilla .. PMzilla keeps my hopes.
