Unfortunately I falied my PMP exam last Friday ;-(

I am extremely disappointed in myself. This was my second failure. I'm about to give up!I guess I can't do this on my own by just reading the books. I’m going to have to take a boot camp course/exam prep course in order to pass. I'm also thinking about buying an audio book so that I can listen during my 3 hour a day commute.I guess I'll try this one

time and I'm done. This test is consuming my life.

Can you please post what books / tests you had taken. Also your background, then we can suggest something based on our experience .

I guess that was my problem that I only concentrated on PMBOK guide fourth edition! I did take plenty of practice test in different websites.

I'm a software test engineer just trying to get to the PM field!

I would say you need optimum level of practice and preparation Generally along with PMBOK + 1 popular book (Rita, Andy etc ) +  5 -6 practice tests ( proven to be like pmp real exam)

However since you have already taken the PMP, now you have an advantage you will know which tests are close to real exam. So give it one last try with double the preparation. Repitition is the mother of skill

I think I would also benefit by taking one of those pmp boot camps.

I currently looking into a boot camp in the Virginia area.

Thanks.

Hi

Since you have already taken the exam and did practice with example/mock tests, which one is closest to the real exam

please let us know as it will be helpful for everybody

I passed the exam on first try in January 2010. It's difficult to pass the exam with just text and classroom material. If you are not working in a projectized organization, I suggest you find a study partner that can explain it to you. Understanding the PM ernivroment shoulld clear up the the reasons behind the processes and ITTO's will make a lot more sense.

Thanks....and congratulations!
