PMP Exam

Hi,,

I have failed in PMP first attempt in aug -2011 .planing to write my exam in july-2012

My PMI membership expires on june 2012 should renew PMI membership fee and apply for exam

Please help me

Saket please help me on this issue do PMI gives only 3 attempts to pass exam

Waiting for response

Why did you wait so long? The best way (least cost would be):

You pay the re-exam fee now and cross the audit process (by June you can do this). You will have the authorization to enroll for the exam before June end.

Before your membership ends schedule your exam date with Prometric, you can schedule for July/August.

As per my experience, generally 40-45 days is sufficient for 2nd timer if you can study for about 2 hours daily. You should be able to appear for the PMP exam in July.

PMI gives 3 attempts only for a year. Let’s say you fail for the 3rd time on 31-Aug-2012, in that case you cannot appear for PMP exam before 31-Aug-2013…That’s all. Your 3  times eligibility would again start after 31-Aug-2013. You will have to pay exam fee each time you appear.

As per my experience with over 600 students, 100% students pass PMP the 3rd time. Don’t worry, study well and give the exam with confidence. You will pass!

Hi Saket,

My eligiblity period to appear for exam is only til July -02-2012.

You already had so much of time, are you not prepared? 02-July-2012 i.e. about 40 days from today, is this time not sufficient?

Saket, PMP

Hi Saket,

Could you please give me road map how to prepare in this 35 days

How many hours should i spend

I have not prepared perfectly for exam last time with out proper guidance

Sorry to bother you

Lavanya

If you give exam on 02-July-2012:
1. You have about 40 days to prepare….its sufficient for 2nd timer
2. Risk at stake - $275 (Exam fee for members)

Worst case if you fail – you can still try the 3rd time as per your comfort without wait but the cost would be:
$129 (membership) + $275 (exam fee) = $404

In short, the risk analysis shows that it’s wise to take a risk for $275 then to wait and put $404.

35 days plan:
8 Days – Read Rita book (3 hours daily)
8 Days – Read PMBOK 4th Edition (3 hours daily)
19 days – Practice Mock Test about 100 questions per day (3 hours daily)

On 5 weekends, spent 2 hours extra and read PMBOK summery pages and try to put special efforts on IITO.

Special Note – By “Read” I mean read and understand…both.

Thaks alot saket..
