Thanks poonfedric.
With your given formula even I could calculate as 650 plus 750 minus 750 and the answer is A or 725.
Such type of questions are then easy because all the values are listed and if you know the formula, you also get the answer and hence full marks on it.

Q3 after reviewing in Wikipedia -
For Triangular Distribution
100+120+200/3 = 140
100^2 +200^2 + 120^2 - 100*200 -200*120 - 120*100 /18 = 466.66
Where as for Beta distribution =Mean = a+4c+b/6 = 130, and Variance = (b-a/6)^2 =277.77
and Uniform distribution condition is b = -a and c(mode) = mean
and exponetial
Hence - option will be A

Wilkepedia..
All,
Please see the definition of both. I have done Ctrl C + Ctrl V from Wilkepedia.
Cultural diversity is the quality of diverse or different cultures, as opposed to monoculture, as in the global monoculture, or a homogenization of cultures, akin to cultural decay. For example, before Hawaii was conquered by Europeans, the culturally diverse Hawaiian culture existed in the world, and contributed to the world's cultural diversity. Now Hawaii has been westernized; the vast majority of its culture has been replaced with Western or American culture. The phrase cultural diversity can also refer to having different cultures respect each other's differences.[citation needed] The phrase cultural diversity is sometime misused to mean the variety of human societies or cultures in a specific region, or in the world as a whole; but these phenomenon are multiculturalism rather than cultural diversity. The culturally destructive action of globalization is often said to have a negative effect on the world's cultural diversity.
Culture shock is the personal disorientation a person may feel when experiencing an unfamiliar way of life due to immigration or a visit to a new country, or to a move between social environments.[1]
One of the most common causes of culture shock involves individuals in a foreign country. Culture shock can be described as consisting of at least one of five distinct phases: Honeymoon, Negotiation, Adjustment, Mastery and the interdependence. [2] There is no true way to entirely prevent culture shock, as individuals in any society are personally affected by cultural contrasts differently.

So what you decide
So what you decide now
Diversity - is a established cultural environment.many different cultures when unified like diversity of India.
You have perhaps heard a slogan - Integrity in Diversity (ANEKTA ME EKTA). Many kind of cultures living and growing togather.
Whereas Culture Shock- is Individual instant feeling or a little experience with a shock.
For example last I wAs in Indonesia - I was in little restrau, for snacks, he asked me what you like Beef or POrk . I was shocked badly because I am Indian. And came out from. It is called culture sock not a cultural diversity.

In question Formal means
In question
Formal means they(English/ Europeans) use more formalities than him ( Americans)while interacting.
Forgetting means he (American) is not habitual to remember their surnames because in his country there is tradition to call by 1st name. So he is finding something unexpected hence it is culture shock.

Hi RPS and RD,
I feel it would be prudent to go with Kim. Today, a successful person (Anandkp) voiced very high opinions on Kim. So, lets go by what Kim says.
And since Jay says the content of Wiki is doubtful so may be RPS, you may want to explore the same content at other places as well.

Good morning dear KK My
Good morning dear KK
My intention is not to prove who is right or wrong .
I want to say thanks to RAVI and you that You are doing well for PMZillians.
but if I understand something I want put my idea in that way .
I have also Kim heldman - perhaps I read there previously.
But he also saying the same thing.
Question saying that the person is experiencing some nonfamiliar unexpected cultural behavior.
What is the wrong here.
Is it cultural diversity?
The situation is not saying anything that He or they are here recognizing or respecting in spite He is individually feeling disoriented and unexpected.
We learn a true lesson that's my aim.
Regarding WiKipedia
In wikipedia you can edit - only your artcles if they are there. You can add your comments like blogs but original - wikipedia sponsored contained could never be affected till wikipedia himself not changed.
I know I have been added there my comments over a definition of COMMON SENSE.
If you wAnt to check it you do at your level it is never possible.
I know our best PMP Internationally renouned authers also put example of wikipedia as and when needed.
You can refer other authenticated books etc also - fact always remains the same

You can please refer Page No:
You can please refer Page No: 420 in PMBOK. (G.7 Political and Cultural Awareness). It may help to get a conclusion for "Cultural Diversity" . Based on my opinion, there is no major difference between Cultural diversity and shock. We can answer the term "Cultural diversity" what they used to refer in PMBOK if I am not wrong.
Suggestion Please!!!

I further went to
I further went to KIM HELMAN BOOK - edition 6th
I find only there these questions at different place.
1. You are a project manager working in a foreign country. You observe that some of your project team members are having a difficult time adjusting to the new culture. You provided them with training on cultural differences and the customs of this country before arriving, but they still seem uncomfortable and disoriented. Which of the following statements is true?
A. This is the result of working with teams of people from two different countries.
B. This condition is known as culture shock.
C. This is the result of jet lag and travel fatigue.
D. This condition is known as global culturalism.
Ans
B. When people work in unfamiliar environments, culture shock can occur. Training and researching information about the country you'll be working in can help counteract this. For more information, please see Chapter 12.
2. You are a project manager with several years of experience in project management. You've just accepted your first project in a foreign country. You've been in the country a week or two and are experiencing some disorientation. This is known as which of the following?
A. Co‐location
B. Diversity shock
C. Global culturing
D. Culture shock
ANS
D. Culture shock is the disoriented feeling that people might experience when working in a foreign country.
There one article also but what you have briefed I have not seen any where. this is soft copy.

You have to answer within the scenario.
There may be many options, in different situations and scenarios.
If you are just joking then its ok.

Though it is from latest version 6th edition, of Kim Heldman book.
Here in this discussion :
it has been cleared that Writer KIM HELDMAN has revised himself, what he was earlier following wrong concept.
I would like to draw attention of you all, here , wikipedia statement and my concept are sustaining, while KIM had to have changed his earlier mistakes.

I thought the answer is C
I thought the answer is C because scope definition means Define Scope process while project statement is just part/output of this process. So I though this is the correct answer because we are talking about whole process here rather than just one part/output of it.

Ist of all sorry for my previous answer , I thought You are talking of my recent reply just above of your first comment.
Actually You are talking of original question> No 1
Though Scope definition is not now a active term as for as Edtion 4 is concerned,
Second Define Scope is a process and its ultimate output is PSS.
A process never be followed , its output could be followed.

haha don't worry. And after reading your reply I just had a look at the question you posted and saw that the option C is "jet lag...." :)
Agree with Ravi that both Define Scope and Scope Definition are same thing. It's just that one thing is Verb/Adjective while other is Noun I guess.

Its all right.Actually what I
Its all right.
Actually what I guess , the original questionaries is an old series. having pitfalls in present scenario.
What I figured out - Americans are very prompt to adapt the new things, or you can say their all literatures codes regulations values - always have updatings.
They believe in continual improvement approaches.
Even their constitusion is not a firm script.
So be careful- always follow current /active/updated/live materials. Of course those will be expensive, its an market strategy also.
Rita Mulcahy - slowly it is not now so appriciated by new commers, you may observe the differences.
