Preparation progress and Advise
Hi,
I am a silent observer of this forum since more than a month and recently created the account.
So far, I have read through PMBOK Guide 4th edition and RITA 7th edition 2 times each.
Planning to schedule the exam in the first week of October, probably on 3rd Or 4th October.
Started giving the mock exams since last few days and below are the results.
1. Rita's chapter end test scoring 70% and above except Risk (scored 62%)
2. PMP FOR SURE free 100 Qtns - 58%
3. Exam central 200 Qtns - 73%
4. Oliver Lehmann 75 qts - 60%
5. Head first labs 200 Qtns free - 81%
6. PM Study 200 Qtns Free test - 64%
I really need the expert judgment from the PMP champions in this forum based on my mock test results.
Advise me whetehr I can go ahead to schedule the exam as planned. Also advise me, how to prepare in last week of my preparation.
Thanks.

Other mock exams
Dear Laxman,
You can also evaluate yourself with other mock exams like:
I can say that scoring 70% or above should give you good confidence, but it depends on the difficulty level of the mock exam you take. This is a personal view. Though other experts in this forum can help to analyze your current stand.

Dear Laxman
Dear Laxman,
I would look for two benchmark that I have felt was the most close to the PMP exam i.e. Pmp for sure and Pmstudy. While with Pmp for sure I would say 65% and with Pmstudy 75%. So I do see some scope of improvement for you. Work in your gaps and you will find a way. Best of luck.
Thanks & Regards,
Mohit Kumar (PMP)

Require little more efforts
Require little more efforts- reach in PMSTUDY as told 75% and PMfor sure 70% and PMZILLA 66%
RITA 70% is OK ,
I am all around this, but still few suggesting me to improve , one more sincer advice - How good command you have on PMBOK and clarity about ITTO qsn.
if I ask
"informal communication and activities" what is this could you answer.
I observed all good simulators are very close to PMBOK knowledge base.
only 10 % questions generally goes out of PMBOK ,
Closing PG , PQR KA - take care
Maths is simple in exam - get that much confidence.
Thanks

I would go with....
Hi Laxman,
I kind of concur with Respected Pawarji Sir. However, I also feel like the rest of the brethern that you are doing pretty well.
I can vouch for my favourite PMPforsure that one can not get good marks in it unless you are sound with PMBOK and trust me Pardner even 58% in PMP4sure is NOT all that too bad. Raise a bit in Head 1st and PMStudy. You may want to shop for PMStudy 3-4 and PMPforsure. This way you get Quality questions for Rs 3500/= approx. It all depends on your pocket though. Dont buy my words even on the pricing part since PMStudy's rates are directly proportional to INR v/s US$.
I have seen a case of a lady from USofA where she failed in PMP4sure but today she is allowed to use PMP as a suffix :). The choice is yours Laxman, I can only say, you would not regret. There are good mock tests available as well and are, thankfully, Free.
When is you D-Day by the way Laxman?
Enjoy... KK...

Hi
Hi Laxman,
I passed the exam on 3rd sept with 3 P&2 MP.I took the paid Tests from PMP for sure & was scoring in the range of 70-75%.You are doing good but to be in the safe side go through more tests. For the wrong answers just analyse & refer PMBOK.All the very best.

Arun.

Hi Pawar ji, KK, Arun.
Thank you for your kind analysis and advises.
I am planning to schedule the exam on 4th October by taking three days (1-3 Oct) off from work, so I can fully dedicate for revisions/brush up in final days. But based on my mock results, hesitating to go ahead.
Anyways, will try for few more mock tests this week and schedule the exam.
