The question is not very clear here.

The Answer should be D because it talks about increasing productivity which is operations.

The rest are project management.

KK...

Pls how does closing a large sales office combine project with operations in A?

Also in D. if u increase output, it is possible to plan, install new equipment, sign-off the contract for the installation, and test-run.

So, D could be a project interacting with operations, right?

Question's 3 options are  having operation but with a project and one option is not like that.

so answer is D .

because

all A B and C, are -starting and completing a task like - initiating , upgrading, closing, these are specific project attached with an operation.

A - running a sale is an operation, while to close it is a project

B -- Go- live phase -- is an opration but to initiate it is a project

C -- Factory line production is an operation but to upgrade it is a task- is a project

while in option 4 -  Increasing output  ---is a continue task --- it could not have a definate end, hence it is an example of  operation  and not an example of project with an opration.

In place of increasing -- if you say that increasing up to a definite mark---- then it would be project.

Upgrading -- have a fix end, you can't say it is an continous process.

If you say continue upgrading -- then it will be an operation.
