PMP Exam Rules?

Hi!

I had entire year 2011 to prepare for my exam but due to work load I could not prepare well --> gave exam once and failed. Year 2012 was even worst for me to even think of PMP exam, so didn't even thought of PMP or PMI.

Now the status is: Its 2013, I am no more a PMI member, I have lost the one year time in which i can give exam 3 times. I only gave exam once in that 1 year time period and failed the exam.

If I want to appear for the exam, do i have to start from scratch i.e. creating a new application?

I would really apprecite if someone can shead light on available options for me.

Thanks.

in light of handbook Page 8, 9 and 29, it is clear that you can apply any time(because you were appeared only 1 time .) for a new/ fresh exam (with full fee as equal as earlier you have paid).

secondly old 35 pdu contact hour can be shown for eligibility for this new credential exam.

Thank you

I think you need to apply from scratch (ref pg 31 of Handbook). However, your 35 contact hours remain valid and can be used at any time.

Please contact PMI and check with them for correct guidance...

Thanks
