Validity of PMBOK 4 and exam pattern

 Hi

One of my friend was planning to take the exam by June. But he now wants to postpone his schedule to July. He is worried on whether he may need to face PMBOK 5 syllabus

Can someone let me know how long will be the PMBOK 4 sylabus be valid?

Till 31st July - PMBOK v4


Staring Aug 2013 - PMBOK v5

Last day for V4 is 30th July. On 31 July you give exam on V5. I have spoken to PMI rep. twice to confirm this.
