I have been silent member of this group from past one year. I am very delighted to inform you all that i have passed PMP yesterday (First Attempt) with 4 MP and 1 BP.

The lessons learned and material shared on this forum is very helpful. They really helped me doing preparation and give encouragement for sitting in the real exam.  

Coming to the exam, it wasn’t tough at all. I started preparation last year when I took initial classes on 19th May, 2012 from PMI Chapter Lahore. After taking the preliminary classes, I kept studying PMP off and on and also rescheduled my paper many times. Finally i decided to give exam yesterday because my PMI membership and PMP Version 4 exam are about to expire. 

I used PMBOK, Andy Crowe and Rita. I finished these three books 5 times and took their mock exams. However, in the last two months i read these books once, solved Fast Track Knowledge Area, PMP and Super PMP questions. My exam score in all Knowledge Area exams was around 90 percent whereas i scored approximately 80 percent in PMP and super PMP. I also gave PMStudy exam a day before attempting the original exam in which i scored 70 percent.

Rita questions are lengthier than the original exam. In the original exam I didn’t see any questions more than 3 4 lines. Most of the questions were one or two liner.  In addition to this i got a lot of mathematical questions (20-30 at least). 7 8 questions were related to Time Management, 7 8 related to EVM, i also get Present Value Calculation Question (Future Value, Number of Years and Interest Rate were given). There were also math question from procurement and other Knowledge Areas. 

I also got 7 8 ITTOs questions which were very straight forward. Please note that for preparing ITTOs, i took print out of the ITTOs and studied every Input, Output and T&T 2 3 times on last day. It helped me ensuring that i didn't skip anything, remembering the flow, and hence, further clarified my concepts.

My advice for all the new comers and those who are planning to take the exam in near future is to Read PMBOK thoroughly. If you are finding difficulty in any topic, use any reference book for understanding the concept. Use Rita for topics missing in PMBOK and scenarios.

If you are enthusiastic and charged up, two month preparation is more than enough for passing the exam. 

I believe that i get less  marks because i didn't study regularly and didn't study at all in last two weeks otherwise i would have got much better scores. Anyways, i am happy that i passed the exam.
