Negative Float Question

Your project activity float is negetive 10. What is your course of action ?
1. add more resources
2. ask more time to complete the project
3. use less experienced team members
4. Ignore It.

Yes, option 1 or A is correct. I think I misunderstood the question. I thought it was asked an activity in the critical path. I choose option 4. Is option 4 correct if the activity were be in the critical path?

I don't think option 4 is correct in any scenario.
Negative flaot means if you won't take any appropriate action, then there will be delays in your project and you might miss your end date.
In order to avoid any delay, you need to explore your options. In PMI terms, you need to use 'Schedule Compression' techniques e.g. Fast-Tracking and Crashing.
Question doesn't talk about fast-tracking (running acitivities in parellel), so, you need to use crashing, which means adding more resources to speed-up your work.

Yes Hemant, the answer should be "1" or "A" . Negative float ideally should not occur in the schedule and if at all its observed it has to be resolbed by Crashing ot Fast Tracking methods.
