Confused Risk Register

To take action against risk that just happened PM should look at

Risk Register

Risk response Plan

We know that the risk response is noted in risk register but the book says answer is otherwise

Identify Risk : The Risk Register will have list of identified risks and  list of potential responses.

Plan Risk Response  : Risk register is an input to this process to refer list of potential responses(identified in Identyfy Risk proccess) along with other references like risk owner ect.,

So, when a risk triggered, PM will refer to the risk register and then risk response plan.

Others view please....???

Thanks

I would choose to o with: Risk response plan because the risk has already happened and you are required to take action, which means now you have to plan a response.

My 2 cents

I get the fact that risk has occurred so we need to refer to risk response, But "Risk Response" is noted in the Risk register , There is no document called "Risk Response Plan" to refer to , Am I wrong ?

If you look at the output of process "Plan Risk Response" the output is risk register updates, which mean what response to take when risk occurs is noted in the risk register. So when a risk occurs you go to risk register and get the response of the plan from it and take that action

Am I thinking too much ?

I think You are correct.. there is no document called Risk Response Plan. I missed to realize that. So, whenever risk occurs, PM need to refer risk register to the response.

Thanks

So If you have this question what option you will pick

To take action against risk that just happened PM should look at

  1. Risk Register
  2. Risk response Plan

I picked "Risk Register", But it was wrong , it says "Risk response Plan"
