Taking PMP Monday
Submitted by geekychick on Sat, 07/27/2013 - 14:51
i am so nervous.. i am shaking just thinking about it. i had about a month to study, but due to some personal issues i was not able to focus at all for about 2 weeks.. i have spent the last week reviewing the pmbok and doing test questions from pmstudy. my scores were all over the place. i did about 50 questions in each chapter and two simulated exams. i am about to take a 3rd one. any words of encouragement will be greatly appreciated it.
thanks!

Worrying
Hi, worrying will definitely not help the end result and if anything it wil become a self fullfilling prophecy that you do not do well. I won't sugarcoat it, a month of solid study with total focus for some is not enough. You have to put all of that aside and focus as much as you can, live the material as much as you can until the exam.
Prep exam scores don't always translate to success on the exam, in fact some can end up memorizing questions and answers so that they don't end up learning the concepts. If you know areas you are solid on then focus on your weak areas the last couple of days.
The most important thing is to try and remain calm and focused when you take your exam, "worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but it doesn't get you anywhere".

I would say reviewing all of Rajesh's notes thoroughly twice would be a really good idea to do before your test.
Formulate a brain dump for all 42 processes, and all EV calculations.

I would say your mock test
I would say your mock test scores should give you good guidance...and I would say worrying would only make you forget things you studied instead...think you will nail it and keep checking your gaps after the test and keep practising test with reducing your gaps....
you can do it.....All the best
