Advise on learning Rita's process chart and ITTO

Hi,

I've just stated my study for PMP exam. So far I will try to do it by self study.

Can someone advise - From Rita book, should I know Rita process chart by heart. Also where is the

ITTO that everyone mention (What page is Rita book).

Please excuse me for the lack of knowledge so far.

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

I m also preparing from Rita's book. I have read in other posts that its good if you understand Rita process chart. I read the process chart everytime i begin any knowledge area and its becoming very logical to me now.

You can find ITTO in every knowledge area. All 42 processes have ITTO. In fact i should say that all processes are made up of ITTO's.

Thanks

Hi Minakshi,

Thank you for your reply. As I look into Rita's process chart I can see more them 42 process.... m I wrong?

Regarding ITTO - I think what you are saying is that in each process (from the list) has ITTO, and those ITTO will

displayed along by reading the book.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

All 42 processes are listed in page 43 of PMBOK V4.  Rita Process chart is a detailed version and explaination of all 42 processes like "Select Project Manager" happens while creating project charter which is a 1st process of Initiation process group. She has explained all the things which are required in any process group. 1 or more such things form a process.

Yes each process has ITTO and these process will be displayed as you visit any knowledge area. For eg, please refer page 73 of PMBOK for ITTO of all the processes of Integration Management.
